Roswell Wants To Rename Two Parks

The city is seeking your input to rename Don White Park and the Arts Center on Fouts.

ROSWELL, GA -- The Roswell Recreation, Parks, Historic and Cultural Affairs Department is seeking input from the community regarding the renaming of two community facilities, Don White Park and the Arts Center on Fouts.

Don White Park, located adjacent to Don White Memorial Park, runs along the Chattahoochee River. This park features a portion of the Roswell River Walk, two sand volleyball courts, outdoor exercise equipment and a boat launch onto the river.

The Arts Center on Fouts is located just outside of East Roswell Park, and the he center is home to the Roswell Fine Arts Alliance and various programs, including clay and cuisine classes.

The city noted on its Facebook page that Don White Memorial Park will keep its name. However, renaming Don White Park is needed due to the "confusion public safety officials had when being dispatched to the two separate parks."

The Arts Center on Fouts, the city added, never received an official name.
