In July, Roswell concluded the application process for its CDBG program, which welcomed applications for activities including housing rehabilitation, public services, and economic development and infrastructure projects. The public can now review and comment on these applications, which are included in the 2016 Annual Action Plan. This public comment period helps the city identify housing and community development priorities and address how these priorities can be supported using federal formula block grant programs.
Roswell is required to submit this plan to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development each year in order to receive funding from the CDBG and HOME Investment Partnership Programs.
Drafts of the plan will be placed on the city’s website, and hard copies are available at the following locations:
- City of Roswell’s Grants Division, 38 Hill St., Suite 115 Roswell, Georgia 30075
- Roswell Public Library, 115 Norcross Street, Roswell, GA 30075
- Housing Authority of the City of Roswell, 199 Grove Way, Roswell, Georgia 30075
All comments must be submitted by 6:00 p.m. Nov. 9, or they can be shared in person at the public hearing, which will be held during the same date and time in Room 200B Roswell City Hall.
They may also be submitted in writing to the city of Roswell Grants Division, 38 Hill St., Suite 115, Roswell, GA 30075 or through the city’s CDBG Program e-mail: CDBG@roswellgov.com.
Residents are asked to contact Charles Alford at (770) 641-3847 or calford@roswellgov.com with any questions or if translation or interpretation services are needed.
