Roswell Warns Of City Phone Number Being Spoofed
The City of Roswell is warning residents that a city phone number is being spoofed with a robocall and asking about voting.
ROSWELL, GA — The City of Roswell has become aware that spammers are spoofing a City of Roswell phone number, 770-641-3700, and caller ID name for a political robocall asking about voting. This phone number is not in use by the city, and the spammers do not have access to the city's phone system.
After working with our telephone communications provider, the city's Information Technology division determined that nothing can be done to address the situation on the city's end.
However, anyone who notices an incoming call from the number above should not answer the call and should report it via the Federal Communications Commission's site.
