Roswell Water Utility Named Distribution System of the Year
The city's Water Utility was given the award in the Small Water System category by the Georgia Water and Pollution Control Association.

The city of Roswell’s Water Utility has been given the 2014 Water Distribution System of the Year Award.
The city won the award in the Small Water System Category (under 10,000 customers) by the Georgia Water and Pollution Control Association.
This is the third time in the past eight years the Utility has won this award; the previous award years were 2006 and 2011.

To be considered for the award, water distribution systems from around the state were evaluated on excellence in the following categories: system features, resources, facilities management and operation (distribution, pumping, storage and chemical feed), safety, program features, emergency response and technical training.
“We are incredibly proud to have once again received this award,” said Alice Champagne, interim deputy director and water resources manager for Roswell’s Environmental/Public Works Department. “This recognition is a tribute to the hardworking and talented employees we have at the Roswell Water Utility who have worked diligently to ensure the ongoing excellence of our distribution system.”

Roswell Water Utility received this award at the Georgia Association of Water Professionals fall conference on Nov. 4 in Dalton.
