Roswell, WellStar North Fulton Team Up To Fight Cancer
A Relay for Life community art project started by the City of Roswell will now take on a new life at the Wellstar North Fulton Hospital.

From the City of Roswell:
Roswell, Ga. — A Relay for Life community art project started last spring by the City of Roswell will now take on a new life when it is displayed at Wellstar North Fulton Hospital in October.
Hearts of Hope is a community art and fundraising project that involved the creation of hundreds of clay hearts that could be personalized and dedicated by individuals wanting to honor or remember loved ones affected by cancer. The City of Roswell’s “Team Roswell” used this creative project as one of their many fundraisers to benefit Relay for Life in spring 2016, raising nearly $20,000 towards the fight against cancer.

Now, the City of Roswell is partnering with Wellstar North Fulton to bring greater awareness and encouragement for prevention and early detection. Each personalized heart will join hundreds of others as part of special art installation in the Atrium at Wellstar North Fulton Hospital on October 11 at 2 p.m.
This is the second display of the Hearts of HOPE. The first was held at City Hall in Roswell as one of its Relay For Life of Roswell awareness events.

The hearts were made by local residents, friends and families who have experienced the devastating effects of cancer. Each is unique and beautiful. The display will be a powerful representation of the many survivors and loved ones lost in our area.
You can still dedicate a heart to be added to the display. Beginning October 3, Hearts will be available at Roswell Imaging (4500 Hospital Blvd, Suite 100, Monday–Friday, 9 a.m.–5 p.m.) and at the Wellstar Breast Health Event October 5 at Country Club of the South, from 10:30 am to 12:00 pm (call 770-751-2660 to register).
