ROSWELL, GA — Wine lovers get ready, the seventh annual Roswell Wine Festival is returning - and tickets go fast. Tickets go on sale Thursday, July 25 and can be found on FreshTix.

This year's event will be held on Sunday, Oct. 6 from 2-5 p.m. in Historic Roswell along Canton Street. VIP ticket holders get early access to the Brown & Company VIP tent at 1 p.m. The platinum sponsor is Brown & Company and restaurant sponsors are Osteria Mattone, Vin25 and Table & Main.

The Roswell Wine Festival was established in 2012 by long time friends Peggy Robinson and Dwight Cunningham. After graduating from college at Johnson & Wales University, both moved to the Roswell and fell in love with the area. With a shared passion for wine, they wanted to create an event which provides an exceptional experience for wine enthusiasts, supports the business community, and benefits local charities. Both co-founders have earned Wine & Spirit Education Trust, level two certifications, with merit.

More than 250 wines will be showcased, everything from France, Italy, and Australia to a couple of wines made in Georgia.

"Tickets typically sell out quickly. We actually have Roswell neighborhoods that make this their social event for the fall," Co-founder Peggy Robinson said. "The festival has become such a hit that we had attendees travel from California and the festival was featured on the Southern California Restaurant & Wine radio show."

Robinson and the other co-founder, Dwight Cunningham, both achieved their wine certifications this year (WSET, Level 2, with Merit). They hand-select many of the wines featured at the festival.
