ROSWELL, GA — Piedmont Chapter SAR member Robert A. (Bob) Sapp was recently honored at the 128th Annual Congress of the National Society Sons of the American Revolution by being presented with the Minuteman Award.

The award is the most prestigious award of the National Society whose membership is over 36,000. The Congress was held in Houston, Texas. The medal was received from President General Larry Guzy.

The award, established in 1951, is presented only to those Compatriots who have made distinguished and exceptional contributions of service to the National Society. This is the highest award of the national Society and the honored Compatriot may receive it only once. Only six members receive this award annually.
