This initiative will display original art in celebration of National Arts and Humanities Month.

Through Nov. 20, the city is sponsoring a scavenger hunt to encourage residents to get out and experience this exhibit, which highlights 22 different local artists and one community collaboration in locations throughout the city including businesses and city facilities.

Everyone who completes the scavenger hunt will win a season pass to either the Winter or Summer Puppet Show series hosted at the Roswell Cultural Arts Center.

The puppet series began in 1997 and has become a favorite Roswell tradition.

To complete the scavenger hunt, visitors must visit at least five of the Art in the City locations listed on the website at www.roswellgov.com/artsmonth, take a selfie with the exhibit and email the pictures to Katherine Jones at kjones@roswellgov.com to collect their prize.

One of the scavenger hunt exhibits is the Community Clay Collaboration at Art Center West, which is the culmination of two months of community collaboration by all ages in a series of fun and playful workshops.

“When individuals within a community collaborate on a public art project, they create beautiful co-authored works of art that can generate camaraderie, ongoing dialogue and investment in the arts,” said AJ Argentina, Art Center West supervisor.

The Art Center West exhibit runs through Nov. 6 only and is free and open to the public from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday.

The full calendar of events for National Arts and Humanities Month is available at www.roswellgov.com/artsmonth.
