Finch's accomplishments within the sport are many, including becoming a gold medalist at the 2004 Olympics in Greece and a silver medalist at the 2008 Olympics in China. Her storied career has taken her from the NCAA College World Series Title Set at the University of Arizona, to a becoming a three time World Cup of Softball champion with USA Softball.

Campers at the two-day training camp will be able to interact with and learn from the best softball players in the world, say camp organizers. • Personal photo taken with Jennie and her medals
  • Autographed photo of Jennie
  • Swag bag filled with goodies
  • Lunch both days
  • Official camp t-shirt

The Roswell Softball Association hopes the camp has a positive impact on young girls with a dream, as well as acts as an economic boon for the local community. Cities which have previously hosted the camp have said families travel far and wide to attend - some even come from halfway across the country.

The same held true in Alpharetta, which hosted the camp at North Park during October 2011. Leaders in Roswell's neighboring city have said that 271 girls participated in the camp, coming from all over the U.S., including Illinois.

Organizers are currently accepting sponsors, which they say will receive quite a bit of local and regional media coverage because of Finch's celebrity status. There are six sponsorship leves, all of which are tax deductible.

The cost to attend is $175 per camper. But there is a 10 percent discount for groups if 10 or more. Register online via the Jennie Finch website.
