Through the Walkways to Wellness and the Waves to Wellness fundraising programs, sponsors can help fund enhancements to the state-of-the-art facility and add their name or a special message to commemorative bricks or to glass ”waves” that will be featured prominently at the facility.
“In 2030, when the first Baby Boomers reach 84, the number of Americans over 65 will have grown by 75 percent to 69 million,” said Morgan Rodgers, director of Roswell’s Recreation, Parks, Historic, and Cultural Affairs Department. “More than 35 percent will be over 50. People are living longer, so to help ensure the life-long longevity of Roswell’s older adults, the city of Roswell is committed to establishing unmatched health and wellness programs and facilities for its 50+ population.”

The Adult Aquatics Facility will be the latest enhancement to Roswell’s Adult Recreation Center, which opened in 2000 and gained a full-size fitness center in 2012. With its ability to reduce joint stress and provide resistance and assistance to movement, swimming is the most popular exercise among residents age 50 and older.
The 12,000-square-foot facility will provide an unparalleled experience with its five-lane warm water therapeutic swimming pool, zero-depth entry, therapeutic whirlpool and shower facilities.
The construction of the basic facilities was funded through a voter-approved bond referendum. But the sponsorship programs — being spearheaded by The Friends of the Roswell Parks and the Roswell Ramblers — will support enhancements such as a whirlpool, aquatic features, specialized equipment and activities.
You can support the project in one of the following ways:
Walkways to Wellness — Community Sponsorship Opportunities
This campaign offers 16” x 16” corner stones and center stones ($500 and $800, respectively) and 8” x 8” paver stones ($200) to create an expansive entrance walkway to the pool facility. The stones can be engraved with individual names, family names, or inspirational messages.
Waves to Wellness — Business Sponsorship Opportunities
This campaign offers community donors, local leaders, and corporations the opportunity to prominently display their organization’s name or logo on decorative glass wave panels that will make up a unique feature wall at the entrance of the pool. Packages start at $1,000 and include various levels of recognition in Recreation and Parks’ and City of Roswell’s print, electronic, and social media; free yearly memberships; special recognition by Mayor Jere Wood and the City Council; and exclusive invitations to special events for the aquatics center and the Adult Recreation Center.
