Spring Drug Takeback Event Set For Saturday In Roswell

ROSWELL, GA — Roswell residents can safely dispose of their expired and unwanted prescription medications this Saturday during the spring Drug Takeback event.

From 10 a.m. to noon at the Roswell Recycling Center, 11570 Maxwell Road, people can bring the unused prescriptions. At the last event, almost 300 pounds of medication were collected, according to the Roswell police department.

“The non-medical use of prescription drugs is the second most common form of drug abuse in the United States,” they said. “Clearing out your home or medicine cabinets of these medications is an easy step we can all take to help stem the tide of overdose deaths.”
