The Career and College Readiness Performance Indicator (CCRPI) is the Georgia Department of Education’s way of ensuring Georgia’s public school students are on the path towards success. The annual assessment will measure how well the schools, districts and the state overall are preparing students for their next level of education. The CCRPI includes four main components: Achievement, Progress, Achievement Gap, and Challenge Points.

Hillside has transformed their teaching methodology over the last few years to create an instructional model that reaches each learner. The HILL, which is the innovative instructional model, allows teachers to become subject matter experts in the areas of ELA, Math, Social Studies and Science while teaching rotating groups of students throughout the instructional day. Hillside kicked off the school year with their #20 Celebration promoting a 20% increase in their GA Milestone scores. Now the celebration continues with a 24.7 increase in their CCRPI scores. Hillside students can proudly celebrate success with an 89.3 CCRPI score!

Hillside Principal Dr. Otway said, “We attribute our strong growth to many things but we take tremendous pride in our innovative instructional model and know that our staff has the skills and ability to impact our learners.” She also said, “We are most excited about our Progress Points within the CCRPI rating. It reflects our current student population and showcases the teacher's ability to move learning at a high rate to receive every point possible for progress which is 40/40!”
