Sunshine on a Ranney Day Hopes to Raise $75,000 on Georgia Gives Day
The Roswell-based nonprofit on Thursday will commemorate the day with several makeover recipient families at its headquarters.

Sunshine on a Ranney Day, a Roswell-based nonprofit organization that creates dream room and home makeovers for children with long-term illnesses, is excited to participate in Georgia Gives Day (#GaGivesDay) on Thursday, November 13.
The organization will commemorate the day with several makeover recipient families in attendance at their headquarters at 42-C Oak Street in Roswell.
SOARD, a leading children’s charity in Atlanta with expertise in residential Americans with Disabilities Act-compliant modifications, therapy rooms and unique children’s room design, relies solely on donations from the public and the generosity of great partners.

SORAD hopes to raise $75,000 on Thursday to commemorate Georgia Gives Day.
The charity has completed 19 life-changing makeovers for Atlanta-area families since 2012. It is the hope of SOARD that each family who receives a makeover has a renewed sense of hope knowing their child has a fun and safe environment to live in. Details on these makeovers are available on SORAD’s website.

“We are excited to have a day dedicated to donating to non-profits,” said co-founder Holly Ranney. “It’s a great platform to help us raise money for our makeovers for next year and a great opportunity to be out there in the community and sharing what we do.”
The mission of Georgia Gives Day is to inspire individuals to donate to participating nonprofits with the goal of raising as much money as possible within a 24-hour period. GAgivesday.org makes donating easy by organizing thousands of nonprofits across the state onto one website, providing the information people need to select a cause or charity of their choice, and enabling online donations by credit card or e-check.
Residents can go to Georgia Gives Day’s website to donate directly to SORAD.
SOARD encourages supporters to submit their photos along with an “I donated” sign that can be downloaded from its webpage. Facebook profile and cover images are also available for download. Please help spread the word with these promotional materials and using #GaGivesDay across all social media.
