Suspect Detained in Roswell Homicide Investigation

Roswell police have detained a suspect in relation to the dead of a woman whose body found Thursday morning at a hotel off Holcomb Bridge Road.

The suspect was detained on a parole violation warrant and since the person of interest has not been charged with murder, the suspect’s name is being withheld, said police spokesperson Lisa Holland.

Police were called around 6 a.m. Oct. 30 to Atlanta Hotel at 9995 Old Dogwood Road where the body of Beverly Carol Arnold, 51, of Roswell was found wrapped in a blood-stained sheet on the breezeway of the second floor.

Roswell Police contacted the Georgia Bureau of Investigation for assistance with the investigation into what police have classified as a homicide. Roswell detectives continue to investigate the death and have submitted evidence to the GBI Crime Lab for analysis.
