Tea With Beatrix Potter Returns April 15

ROSWELL, GA -- The annual Tea with Beatrix Potter event will soon return to Barrington Hall in Roswell.

The event will be held from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, April 15 at the historic home, which at 535 Barrington Drive.

This popular springtime tradition features beloved children’s author “Beatrix Potter,” portrayed by Atlanta actress Holly Stevenson, as she brings to life her friends Peter Rabbit, Jemima Puddleduck, Tom Kitten and other characters through captivating storytelling and puppet mastery.

In addition to Stevenson’s performance, the day will include games, crafts as well as a substantial afternoon tea. Scattered throughout the formal garden will be tableaus featuring Beatrix Potter’s tea settings, which will provide quite a few photo opportunities for anyone looking to document this experience.

Experiencing Stevenson’s Beatrix Potter persona against the backdrop of this antebellum home and garden is truly like a step back in time.

"I feel very privileged to perform for young audiences and I love hearing their laughter and appreciation,” Stevenson said.
