Temptations Revue Comes To Roswell

From Roswell Cultural Arts Center: As a premier event of both the 2017 Roswell Roots Festival and the LIVE! in Roswell Series, “A Temptations Revue” will take the stage at the Roswell Cultural Arts Center (RCAC)on Saturday, February 4 at 8:00 p.m. The show features the former lead singer of the Temptations and GRAMMY Award winner Barrington “Bo” Henderson.

Since the band was formed in the early 1960s, 22 lead vocalists have fronted the Temptations, and “Bo” is one of the only leads to have received a GRAMMY. The group’s win for “Best Traditional R&B Vocal Album” in 2001 for "Ear-Resistible" is one of the Temptations’ many accolades, including induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Lifetime Achievement Award GRAMMY, 18 #1 Billboard singles, 23 Top-Ten singles, and 10 Top-Ten albums.“I grew up listening to the Temptations’ music with my parents,” said RCAC coordinator Donna Clayton. “Their music has a broad appeal across generations and all walks of life, and we expect ‘A Temptations Revue’ to be a fun walk down memory lane for a big audience.”

The performance celebrates the great harmonies from some of the most culture-defining songs in pop music history: “My Girl," "Papa Was a Rollin' Stone," "Get Ready," "Ain't Too Proud To Beg," and "Just My Imagination.” The show will also feature the choreographed dance moves that made the Temptations famous.

Individual tickets are $30, and senior, student, and military discounts are available by calling the box office at 770-594-6232 or in-person during business hours. A festive pre-show cocktail hour provided by Top Jobs Staffing will be available in the lobby one hour prior to show time. Theater doors open 30 minutes prior to curtain.
