Here are the top five stories today in Roswell:

  1. Two Roswell preschool teachers were arrested after abuse allegations recently came to light. Parents say they saw Zeina Alostwani, 40, and Soriana Briceno, 19, abusing children over a live video from the classroom. According to authorities, the incident happened on Friday. The two teachers face cruelty charges after parents say they saw the teachers stand on a child's hand, kick, and push her. (Patch)

  3. The Atlanta International Night Market (AINM) is coming to Roswell! The AINM is partnering with the City of Roswell for the End of Summer event happening on Aug. 13 from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m. The festivities will be held at the East Roswell Recreation Center and will feature various food and retail vendors as well as cultural performances.   4. The Roswell Police Department is reminding the community to file claims if you wired money to scammers. If you used Western Union to pay a scammer between Jan. 1, 2004, and Jan. 19, 2017, you have until Jul. 1, 2022, to file a claim for a refund under a settlement.   5. Roswell residents are voicing their concerns about the $50 million Historic Gateway project. The group is warning the City Council against moving forward with the current project design as they believe it will shut down local businesses and enable cut-through traffic from Cobb County.
