4-H Yoga for Kids at Spruill Oaks Library
9560 Spruill Rd,
Johns Creek, GA 30022
The Yoga for Kids program is a series of routines intended for use with youth. Yoga is a type of exercise that combines breath, physical postures, and mindfulness to help strengthen and calm the body and mind. Practicing yoga builds strength, flexibility, and confidence. Also, the focus on breathing promotes relaxation and quiets the mind.
Yes, yoga is calming for kids, but it’s also a fun, noncompetitive, sometimes sneaky, way to be physically active. Healthy living is a core component of the 4-H youth development program. 4-H Yoga for Kids supports the goal of equipping youth and families to achieve optimal physical, social, and emotional well-being.
Free to attend, but pre-registration is required. Please contact Laura Hoefener at laura.hoeferner@fultoncountyga.gov for more information and to register.
