Unity Concert To Feature Breast Cancer Survivors

Roswell, GA -- The Roswell Roots Festival will host its annual Unity Concert featuring The Shades of Pink Breast Cancer Survivors Choir.

The concert will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 31 at Zion Missionary Baptist Church. This concert also will include choir performances from World Harvest Church, St. James Church, Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church and Zion Missionary Baptist Church.
The Unity Concert is a free family event celebrating the magnificent voices and performances of these choirs, as the groups perform their favorite selections. This year, the choirs will center their selections around the theme – We’re All God’s Children. Roswell High School’s Principal Jerome Huff will serve as master of ceremonies.

Roswell Roots: A Festival of Black History and Culture is one of the largest and most comprehensive celebrations of black history and culture in the Southeast.
This year, there will be 23 different events throughout the month of February ranging from music and art exhibitions to demonstrations and poetry. The festival continues to grow and was honored with the “Gold Award for Best Cultural Event” by the Southeast Festival and Events Association in 2014.
