Walmart to Offer Online Grocery Shopping in Roswell

Regular Walmart shoppers in Alpharetta may never have to set foot inside the store again when online grocery shopping is rolled out in the metro Atlanta market next month.

Starting Oct. 13, the big box retailer’s popular Walmart Grocery program comes online in metro Atlanta, allowing shoppers to select what they need from the comfort of home or from a smart phone, pick a time to get their goods, and have the items hand delivered to their cars by Walmart associates at no extra charge.

“This new, easy shopping experience is an innovation that’s helpful for anyone with a busy schedule – particularly moms with small children,” the company said in a statement. “They can shop online and choose the pickup time that works for them, and they never have to unbuckle anyone’s seat belt.”

A Walmart spokesperson confirmed to Patch the four metro stores that will offer the service are:

• Walmart Supercenter, 970 Mansell Road, Roswell
• Walmart Supercenter, 2795 Chastain Meadows Parkway, Marietta
• Walmart Supercenter, 5200 Windward Parkway, Alpharetta
• Walmart Supercenter, 5455 Atlanta Highway, Alpharetta
