Walmart Offers Free Samples of Patti LaBelle's Caramel Cake

Roswell, GA -- If you’re wondering about the craze behind R&B legend Patti LaBelle’s bakery products, you will soon have a chance to see first-hand what the buzz is all about.

That’s because four Walmart stores in metro Atlanta will be offering samples of the Grammy Award-winning artist’s caramel cake, according to her Facebook page.

LaBelle told her fans she “worked some magic” with the big-box retailer and will be dispatching the caramel pies down to the Peach State for an early taste this weekend.

There are two ways you can try out LaBelle’s baking skills.

You can stop by any of the following Walmart locations from 1 p.m. to 6:15 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 14, Friday, Jan. 15 or Sunday, Jan. 17 or 11 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 16:

• 5455 Atlanta Highway, Alpharetta, GA 30004
• 5200 Windward Parkway, Alpharetta, GA 30004

You can also get a free cake by signing up for Walmart’s free grocery pickup service and placing your first online order Jan. 14-21. Shoppers will get this sweet treat for free while supplies last, LaBelle said.

Walmart is set to roll out the caramel cake as well LaBelle’s vanilla pound cake the week of Jan. 18 at its stores nationwide.

According to ABC News, the caramel cake will be priced at $13.44 while the pound cake -- which will include decadent vanilla icing -- will clock in at $6.98.
