Water Drop Dash Returns Saturday At Chattahoochee Nature Center

The 7th annual Water Drop Dash 5K and Water Festival returns Saturday, March 23 at 8 a.m. at the Chattahoochee Nature Center in Roswell.

ROSWELL, GA -- Mark your calendars for 7th annual Water Drop Dash 5K and Water Festival on Saturday, March 23 at 8 a.m. The race celebrates Fix-A-Leak Week, March 18-24. Fix-A-Leak Week reminds homeowners to check their plumbing fixtures and irrigation systems to save two valuable resources: water and money.

The race is held along a beautiful, flat and scenic stretch of the Chattahoochee River, starting and finishing at the Chattahoochee Nature Center, 9135 Willeo Road. The Kids Fun Run gets youngsters outside while learning about conservation, too. The post-race Water Festival will be full of giveaways, activities and face painting from local water utilities and sponsors – along with free admission to the nature center. All 5k registrants will receive a race number with a chip time that lets them qualify for the following year’s AJC Peachtree Road Race. 5K runners will also receive free race photos from True Speed Photo as well as free admission to the Nature Center on race day.

DeAnn Fordham, Senior Director of Development and Marketing, for the Chattahoochee Nature Center, said in a release, “We are collaborating with the Metropolitan North Georgia Water Planning District to help increase awareness about the importance of water conservation and the valuable resource the Chattahoochee River plays in the lives of all of us across the region.”
