Wedding Gowns Exhibit Opens At Bulloch Hall
Bulloch Hall will host an exhibit of historic wedding gowns that is scheduled to open on Mother's Day.

ROSWELL, GA - From the Friends of Bulloch Hall: The Friends of Bulloch Hall, in cooperation with the Roswell Historical Society, presents "Here Comes the Bride," an exhibition of authentic vintage wedding attire for brides from the 1850s to the 1990’s. The exhibit runs May 14 through August 31 and is free with regular admission or with a Friends of Bulloch Hall membership.
Selected pieces from the Historical Society's archival textile collections will be shown along with more modern examples worn by some of Bulloch Hall's corps of docents and staff for their own special days. The assembled gowns include an 1850s piece that is on loan from the Marietta Museum of History. The gowns will be displayed with various accessories such as shoes, parasols, fans, gloves, veils, hats, stockings, corsets, etc.
“This exhibit will be a unique opportunity to connect with Roswell history and the history of the area,” said Jenny Goldemund, assistant site coordinator at Bulloch Hall, “It is a very personal look at the values and customs surrounding weddings, one of the most significant rites of our culture.”
