WellStar North Fulton Urgent Care Center Opens July 30

ROSWELL, GA — WellStar Health System will open its North Fulton Urgent Care Center on Monday, July 30. The one level, 5,300-square-foot facility, will offer urgent care for non-life-threatening illnesses and injuries to residents of all ages.

The WellStar North Fulton Urgent Care Center will be open seven days a week from 8 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. and offer treatment for routine conditions such as a sore throat, stomach pains, minor injuries and illnesses and stitches for minor lacerations, the company said.

“WellStar is excited to meet the growing demand for urgent care services in North Fulton,” said Jon-Paul Croom, WellStar senior vice president and president of WellStar North Fulton Hospital. “Our newest urgent care center allows us to offer greater convenience to residents and patients and provides an additional healthcare option to compliment WellStar North Fulton Hospital and WellStar Avalon Health Park, scheduled to open in 2019.”

The center will also provide laboratory and x-ray services, specialty care referrals, occupational health services, workers compensation services, school and sports physicals, flu shots and free blood pressure checks. The location will be staffed by two physicians, licensed practical nurses and registered nurses.

WellStar North Fulton Urgent Care Center, located at 1360 Upper Hembree Road Suite 100 in Roswell, welcomes walk-in patients and also offers convenient appointments 24 hours in advance via an online check-in at www.wellstar.org/checkin and through the WellStar mobile app.

The North Fulton location is WellStar’s 10th Urgent Care Center within its network, and the first in Fulton County. Other locations include Kennesaw-Cherokee Street, Marietta-Delk Road, Marietta-Kennestone, Marietta-Sandy Plains Road, Smyrna-Cooper Lake, and Woodstock-Stonebridge Parkway.

Additional urgent care centers are housed at WellStar Acworth Health Park, WellStar East Cobb Health Park and WellStar Vinings Health Park. Combined, WellStar Urgent Care Centers provided care in more than 150,000 patient visits in fiscal year 2018.
