Roswell Families Interested In Self-Defense Class For Youth Can Register Now

The Roswell Police Department has partnered with Revved Up Kids to offer two safety workshops March 26 for children and teens.

ROSWELL, GA — Safety and self defense classes for children and teens will be held March 26 at Roswell Area Park.

The Roswell Police Department has partnered with Revved Up Kids to offer two safety workshops, one at 10 a.m. and another for just girls at 1 p.m., police said. There is a $35 registration fee per participant, but needs-based scholarships are available.

The first class, beginning at 10 a.m., is for children in K-5th grade. The class lasts approximately 2 hours, and a parent/guardian must accompany each child, police said.
The second class, beginning at 1 p.m., is for girls in 6th-12th grade. The class lasts approximately 2 - 2.5 hours, and parents are encouraged but not required to attend.
