Food 'N Fun Festival Fights Hunger in Sandy Springs
The 3rd annual festival, which benefits the Community Assistance Center, will be held Saturday, May 2 at North Springs Charter High School.

Sandy Springs residents are invited to take part in an annual fundraiser designed to help their less fortunate neighbors.
The third-annual Food ’N Fun Festival, hosted by Sandy Springs-based Community Assistance Center, will take place 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, May 2 at North Springs Charter High School.

The family-friendly, outdoor event will include a slew of events, such as the Food ’N Fun Challenge, a food drive contest where schools, businesses and organizations challenge a rival for the most food collected, and the popular Shopping Cart Decoration Contest.
In this contest, teams will compete for the Most Creative, Most Humorous and Funniest awards. Everyone will also take part in the .25-mile Hunger Awareness Walk around the track led by the Shopping Cart Parade.

Festival activities include arts and crafts, hair and face painting, hula hoop contests, potato sack races, an old-fashioned cake walk and more.
Residents are asked to bring a canned or dry food donation for CAC’s food pantry, which tends to run low during the summer months. The event benefits CAC, which has provided assistance to low-income families in Sandy Springs and Dunwoody since 1987.
