Tupelo Honey Cafe To Open June 20 in Sandy Springs

The restaurant will be located in the Gateway development at 4600 Roswell Road.

SANDY SPRINGS, GA -- Asheville, North Carolina-based Tupelo Honey Cafe will bring its twist of Southern cuisine, craft beer and cocktails to Sandy Springs later this month.

The restaurant is slated to open on Monday, June 20 in the new Gateway development at 4600 Roswell Road, Building C, Suite 110.

Tupelo Honey Cafe will serve fresh, made-from scratch, Southern-inspired dishes out of its new, open-air kitchen.

Perfectly paired with the restaurant’s community vibe and social atmosphere, Tupelo Honey Cafe will offer a selection of innovative, sharable Southern small plates such as Appalachian shrimp with sorghum chili-glazed, wild-caught American shrimp served with garlic kale and corn soufflé, seasonal summer salt roasted beets tossed with orange wedges, spiced pecan encrusted goat cheese and a basil vinaigrette over micro-greens and fried avocado topped with fresh tomato salsa, cilantro and whipped sour cream.

The 6,800 square-foot restaurant will boast 163 interior seats, a full bar with 36 craft beers on tap and four draft cocktails and outdoor patio seating for up to 43 guests.

Keeping true to its community roots, the new location will showcase artwork by local artists such as Craig Ford, Helen Durant, Katherine W. Linn, Nancy B. Westfall and Lisa Moore.

Tupelo Honey Cafe Atlanta will initially open for dinner only on Sunday through Thursday from 4 to 10 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 4 p.m. to midnight. Weekend brunch will kick off on Saturday, July 16, followed by weekday lunch launching on Monday, July 18.
