Here are the top three stories in Savannah today:

  1. The 2022 Sand Arts Festival displayed sand sculptures created by more than 500 Savannah College of Art and Design students. The students formed more than 100 teams to create impressive sculptures while competing for more than $20,000 in prizes. Photos of the designs are available on the school's social media accounts.   2. Savannah High School opened its new stadium during a special ribbon-cutting ceremony on Friday. The stadium cost over $7 million and was provided through the ESPLOST fund. The 2,000-seat stadium will reportedly be used for the first time this fall. (WTOC)
  3. Savannah Mayor Johnson hosted the first post-pandemic in-person small business conference on Thursday. The event was presented at the civic center. The event's theme was "Business Unusual." (fox28media.com)
