Two men die after shooting on East Anderson Street in Savannah (thegeorgiasun.com) — A man was fatally shot Thursday afternoon on East Anderson Street, and the suspected gunman was later found dead inside a nearby home in what appears to be a self-inflicted incident, according to Savannah police. Officers and Savannah Fire crews tried to save the victim before he died at Memorial Health, and investigators are asking anyone with information to contact CrimeStoppers or use the Savannah Police mobile app.
   

2. Hailey Bieber's sister avoids jail time after allegedly throwing tampon at Savannah bartender (cbsnews.com) — Chatham County prosecutors have dropped charges against Alaia Baldwin Aronow after she completed a pre-trial diversion program stemming from a 2024 incident at Savannah's Club Elan. The case involved allegations of harassment and minor assaults at the bar, but all warrants are now dismissed, closing the matter in Savannah's courts.
   

3. Savannah State athlete previously detained by ICE thanks supporters (wsav.com) — A Savannah State University baseball player who was detained by ICE over a visa paperwork issue is back on campus and thanking the Savannah community for its support. In a video with the university president, he expresses gratitude, calls Tiger Nation his family, and urges locals to come out and cheer on the team this season.
   

4. The March on Washington: Savannah civil rights icon reflects on his experience (wsav.com) — A longtime Savannah resident and Savannah State University alumnus is sharing vivid memories of attending the 1963 March on Washington and hearing Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s "I Have a Dream" speech.
