Here are the top three stories in Savannah today:
- The Books, Blankets, and Family Fun event saw thousands in attendance this weekend at Daffin Park. The event was hosted by the Savannah-Chatham County Public School System for the third year. Officials with the district report that events like this are why the district has a record-breaking 90.1 percent graduation rate. (WTOC)
- The Historic Savannah Foundation has saved the former home of Virginia Jackson Kiah. The foundation purchased the famous Black artist's home-turned-museum to save it from demolition. The foundation reportedly plans to restore Kiah's after it deteriorated following her death in 2001. (Hilton Head Island Packet)
- WF Neighbors Feeding Neighbors has opened a new community garden in Savannah. The group was founded by Charlene Keith to support those in need during the COVID-19 pandemic. Gardeners can participate in the garden by paying a $50 fee for a raised bed while signing an agreement. The fee is used to pay the garden's water bill, purchase supplies, and support the food pantry fund. (WJCL News Savannah)

- Savannah Stage Company's Family Fun Day was a huge success. Staff thanked the hosting venue The Savannah Theatre, sponsors Savannah Cottage Cookie and Starlandia supply, event captain McKenna Lyons, and all the patrons who came out to celebrate. (Facebook)
