1. Sept. 26 - Eastern Wharf's 3rd Annual Food Truck Festival; 28 Regional Food Trucks (savannahbusinessjournal.com) — Savannah food lovers can head to Eastern Wharf's riverfront lot on Saturday, Oct. 3, for a free, family-friendly food truck festival featuring 28 regional trucks and live music. The event at 102 Port St. also includes a Savannah Bananas player meet-and-greet, local drink vendors, and a custom trucker-hat station, making it one of the city's biggest fall gatherings.
   

2. Savannah council approves Grayson Stadium improvements (savannahnow.com) — Savannah residents will see major safety repairs at Historic Grayson Stadium after City Council approved a $686,000 SPLOST-funded contract to fix deteriorating concrete and reinforce steel under the grandstands. The city also celebrated $24 million in renovations at Heritage Place Apartments in Cuyler-Brownville, preserving 88 affordable units for at least 30 more years and honoring the site's deep Black medical and educational history.
   

3. 19-year-old Army solider charged with homicide by vehicle after fatal crash (wtoc.com) — A 29-year-old woman was killed and two others injured in a high-speed three-car crash at White Bluff Road and Johnston Street in Savannah, and a 19-year-old Hunter Army Airfield soldier now faces homicide by vehicle and other charges. Police say his Honda Accord hit the victim's stopped car at a red light, and investigators are still gathering information from military officials.
   

4. SSU recognizes 40 Under 40 honorees for making an impact in their careers, communities, and beyond (wtoc.com) — Savannah State University just honored its second 40 Under 40 class, spotlighting young alumni making a difference in their careers and communities while strengthening ties back to Savannah. From entrepreneurs to public servants, the honorees are held up as examples of what an SSU education can inspire, reinforcing pride and engagement among graduates and current students alike.
   

5. More Than $13,000 Raised for Coastal Georgia's Littlest Fighters at Inaugural NICU Run (wtoc.com) — Savannah families and supporters turned out in force for the inaugural Coastal Georgia NICU Warrior Run, where more than 300 participants raised over $13,000. The 5K, 10K and family walk celebrated NICU graduates, supported current and former NICU families, and directed proceeds to Candler Hospital's NICU and related community advocacy efforts organizers hope to grow annually.
