2. The Hungry Club Forum of Savannah Celebrates Community Impact at 'Fulfilling the Hunger!' Annual Fundraiser (savannahtribune.com) — Savannah's Hungry Club Forum recently gathered community leaders and neighbors for its "Fulfilling the Hunger!" fundraiser, celebrating residents and organizations strengthening Savannah and Chatham County. 3. Savannah's Ocean Terminal renovations 60 percent complete (griceconnect.com) — Savannah's Ocean Terminal renovation is now 60% complete, part of a $1.6 billion expansion that will dramatically increase container capacity and reroute truck traffic directly to U.S. 17 and I-16, easing neighborhood congestion. State crews are also preparing major cable work to raise the Talmadge Bridge, and port leaders will outline future plans at the Savannah State of the Port event on October 14.
   

4. Historic Savannah Foundation to Spotlight Ossabaw Island, GA's Torrey-West Home in HSF Lecture on Thursday, October 15th (savannahtribune.com) — Savannah history buffs are invited to an October 15 lecture from Historic Savannah Foundation spotlighting the 100-year-old Torrey-West Home on Ossabaw Island. Held at the Kennedy Pharmacy on East Broughton Street, the event includes a wine reception, explores preserving this remote coastal estate, and is free for HSF members with a modest fee for nonmembers.
   

5. Tharros Place meeting spotlights survivor's story and call for lasting support (wtoc.com) — Savannah residents heard a powerful firsthand account of human trafficking at a Tharros Place community meeting, where survivor Brandi Little urged people to recognize warning signs and talk openly about them. Organizers highlighted new federal and state tools for clearing survivors' records and discussed expanding support for vulnerable young adults locally.
