His mother was named the prime suspect earlier in the case after authorities said the child is presumed dead.
The Chatham County Police Department and the FBI, along with experts from other areas, have spent the past four days going through "literally tons of garbage," searching a county landfill for Quinton's remains, police said.

"This is a grueling part of our investigation that can only be performed by a team of specially-trained law enforcement searchers. It is also dangerous, and searchers are exposed to numerous – and very real – health and safety hazards every minute that they are working," police said in a news release.
The landfill search for Quinton will continue after sunrise Monday, police said.
Hadley has vowed in recent days that his team will keep looking for Quinton until he is found.
No charges have been filed in the case.
"We have worked every day since we received the call on Oct. 5 that little Quinton was missing. We want you to know how much we appreciate the hundreds of messages of support that our department has received since this case began and how much it means to every person working tirelessly on this investigation," police said.
