Cobb County police have arrested two people they say shoplifted laundry detergent from local grocery and drug stores and used the money they earned from selling the detergent to buy drugs.
Samer Tabaja of Vinings and Savannah Sargent of East Cobb allegedly stuffed shopping carts full of detergent and strolled out of stores without paying for it in separate incidents in March and April, according to Cobb police. Once they had the stolen goods, they would allegedly sell the detergent online and use the proceeds to buy illegal drugs.
