Campbell Gets SPLOST-Funded Facelift

got a facelift this summer. CHS students can now enjoy a renovated auditorium, a resurfaced gym floor and stage, a new sound system in the gym with wireless microphones and new directional signs to the athletic fields and the back parking lots. The projects were funded by the Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax III.

The CHS horticulture program has added corporate plant care to its curriculum. Students will learn about the field of corporate plant care where technicians visit offices on a weekly or monthly basis to maintain foliage and floral designs.

And the Campbell Spartan football will meet the Walton High School Raiders at home Friday, Sept. 9 at 7:30 p.m. Come out to cheer on the Spartans.

 will have its Fun Run Friday, Sept. 9. The school is seeking donations of gift certificates and other items from local merchants to be used as prizes.

The following week, the school will go before the Cobb County School Board to ask for a renewal of its charter. International Academy of Mableton will also ask for a renewal at the Wednesday, Sept. 14 meeting.

 is offering pre-driver ID cards to its students through Ident-a-kid. ID photos will be taken Friday, Sept. 9 during lunch. Permission forms will be sent home with students Tuesday, Sept. 6.

 will celebrate school spirit at Bella's Pizzeria, Tuesday, Sept. 6, starting at 5 p.m.

is holding a spirit night of its own later in the week. Chick-fil-A Spirit Night will be held Thursday, Sept. 8 at the restaurant located at the corner of Cumberland Parkway and Paces Ferry Road.

 hosts its Pre-K through second grade PTA meeting Tuesday, Sept. 6, at 6 p.m. The PTA meeting for third through fifth graders is scheduled for Thursday, Sept. 8, at 6 p.m.

' Open House and Title I meeting is schedule for Tuesday, Sept. 6 at 6:30 p.m. The school's volunteer luncheon takes place Friday, Sept. 9 at 11:30 a.m.
