Campbell High School's IB Diploma Programme Pass Rate Beats Global Average

The Smyrna high school's International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme had a pass rate of 98 percent during the 2013-14 school year.

Almost every member of Campbell High School’s International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme passed their courses in the 2013-14 school year, capping off a very successful year for the Smyrna school.

According to the City of Smyrna, 98 percent of Spartan IB Diploma Programme participants made the cut during the previous school year, vastly outperforming both the state, (59 percent), national (68 percent), and global (79 percent) averages for the highly competitive, globally minded education program.

In addition to the school’s fantastic IB Diploma Programme pass rate, Bright Side Newspapers reported that Campbell also generated nine National Merit Scholarship and/or National Achievement finalists in the Class of 2014, was ranked the 52nd most challenging high school in the state, and boasted 44 AP scholars during the last school year.

Bright Side also reports that the school’s Relay for Life team raised over $8,000 for the American Cancer Society.
