Campbell Track Teams Fare Well At Georgia Challenge
Patch was a proud sponsor of the fifth annual Jerry Arnold Georgia Challenge.

At Saturday’s Jerry Arnold Georgia Challenge track and field event, the girls placed fifth out of 25 teams, while the Spartan boys finished seventh out of 24 teams in one of the state's largest meets.
At the all-day event sponsored in-part by Patch at Mill Creek High School, Peachtree Ridge High took top honors among the girls and Brookwood High finishing first among the boys. For full meet results, click here.
Leading the way for the Lady Spartans was Monti Willis, who finished first in the 300-meter hurdles.

Other point scorers for the Lady Spartans included Kelli Hardnett, who finished third in the 400 meters; Tershauna Broadnax, who finished third in the 100-meter hurdles; and Shaina Walker, who finished sixth in the 100 meters. Campbell’s 4x100 meter relay team also had a strong showing by finishing second.
For the boys, Cory Ashburn finished second in both the 400 meters and 800 meters. Dayier Brewster also scored in multiple events with a fourth place finish in the 200 meters and a sixth place effort in the 100 meters.

Others scoring points for the Spartans on Saturday were Trey Fluellen, who finished fifth in the long jump; Tyshawn Smith, who finished sixth in the 400 meters; and Isaiah Hunter, who placed seventh in the 800 meters. In addition, the 4x100 meter relay team placed third for the Spartans.
Campbell next hits the track when the Spartans play host teams from Sprayberry, Hillgrove and Harrison high schools on Wednesday.
