UPDATE: Body Found in Mableton Belongs to Smyrna Man
The 35-year-old was found dead on Wednesday afternoon; police are treating his death as a homicide.
UPDATE (5:00 p.m.): Cobb County police say that the body found in Mableton on Wednesday belongs to a Smyrna man.
The body of Alexander Arcides Lara Ayala, 35, was discovered in a treeline off of Ivey Road near Vinings Vintage Drive at approximately 2:15 p.m. Police are treating the incident as an apparent homicide.

ORIGINAL STORY (12:30 p.m.): Cobb County police are trying to figure out what caused the death of a man whose body was discovered in Mableton on Wednesday.
Police spokesman Dana Pierce said that the body was discovered at approximately 2:15 p.m. in a wooded area off of Ivey Road near Vinings Vintage Drive. The body has been turned over to the Cobb County Medical Examiner’s Office, who will determine the man’s identity and attempt to determine his cause of death.
