Cobb Police Seek Vinings Attempted Bank Robbery Suspect

Cobb County police are asking for the public’s help to identify a man they believe tried to rob a bank in Vinings on Wednesday morning.

According to spokeswoman Alicia Chilton, a man walked into the BB&T Bank at 3175 Galleria Parkway at 10:54 a.m. and handed a demand note to a teller. As the teller was gathering up money to give to the suspect, he fled the building without any cash and drove off in a silver Dodge Charger.

Chilton says the suspect is a black male, standing 6’03” tall, and is described as being heavy set and having facial hair. He was last seen wearing a grey NIKE zip-up hoodie, black pants, and a royal blue/white ball cap with “C” on the front.
