Dog Treats Recalled Due to Salmonella Fears
Nylabone has recalled a set of its puppy treats, but has not heard any reports of illness caused by their product.

A dog treat manufacturer is recalling some of its product after routine testing discovered a batch was contaminated by salmonella bacteria.
According to WSB-TV, Nylaboneβs 1.69-ounce Puppy Starter Kit with lot number 21935 and an expiration date of March 22, 2018 is affected by the recall. The contaminated treats could infect both humans and dogs, the company says. Fortunately, Nylabone says that they have not received any reports of people or pups getting sick due to their product.
Salmonella is a nasty bacterial infection which can cause nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, and diarrhea. In some cases, infections can cause arthritis, urinary tract problems, and inflammation of the heart.
