Hip Arthroscopy: A Minimally Invasive Surgical Procedure for Hip & Groin Problems presented by Jon Hyman, MD, will be held on Thursday, June 28, 6:00 PM, at Emory-Adventist Hospital at Smyrna. Shoulder and knee arthroscopies have been widely popular and highly effective surgical options for shoulder and knee conditions for several decades. In the past 10 years, advancements in medical technology, knowledge, and training have made addressing common hip and groin problems with an arthroscopic approach a viable option. Dr. Jon Hyman, Orthopedic Surgeon, will discuss the main advantages of this procedure which includes increased tissue preservation, a faster recovery period, and an increased potential for returning to high physical functioning. Common hip or groin problems that can be addressed by hip arthroscopy include loose bodies, snapping hip syndrome, impingements, synovitis, labral tears, and bursitis. However, hip arthroscopy is not suitable for moderate or severe arthritic conditions of the hip joint. Call 770-319-2025 to register for this FREE seminar.
