GBI Busts Huge Cobb County Cocaine Deal

Three men were arrested for allegedly attempting to distribute 100 kilograms of cocaine throughout the county.

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation says it has arrested three people attempting to complete a multi-million dollar cocaine transaction in Cobb County.

Javier Rodriguez-Buitrago of Dacula; Fernando Rodriguez of Gary, Indiana; and Jesus Ruben Rosillo of McAllen, Texas, were all arrested on June 25 and charged with offenses related to a drug deal they attempted to pull off at a motel in Marietta the day before, police told the Marietta Daily Journal.

Police said they found 100 kilograms of cocaine worth $3 million in a tractor-trailer operated by Rodriguez, who later admitted he knew the drugs were inside. Rosillo confessed to putting the drugs there, the MDJ learned from police.
