Identities Released in Weekend SWAT Standoff in Smyrna
Two people died during the incident, but a baby was recovered from the scene and is now in state custody.

The Smyrna Police Department has released the identities of two people killed in an apparent murder-suicide which turned into a 14-hour standoff with police and SWAT units in Smyrna over the weekend.
According to the department, 30-year-old Antoine Davis shot and killed 33-year-old Jessica Arrendale before taking his own life at a townhome in the 6000 block of Sawtooth Oak Court. Police and SWAT units entered the townhome at approximately 2 p.m. Sunday following a 14-hour standoff.
According to WSB-TV, the standoff began inside a townhome in the Oakdale Bluff community near the Chattahoochee River at midnight. A man was reported to be carrying a firearm inside the townhome and was allegedly holding a second person hostage. No shots had been fired at the time.

Police entered the home and confirmed the deaths of the two people, and retrieved the baby. The five-month-old was treated for hypothermia at Scottish Rite Hospital and is now in state custody, Smyrna police said.
