It's "Fun, Fun, Fun" at Cobb Energy with The Beach Boys and more
Mike Love and The Beach Boys cruise into Cobb Energy on Friday night, and there's more fun times coming to the Cumberland area venue in the coming weeks.
It's not too late to buy tickets for The Beach Boys one-night only performance at Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre, Friday, Sept. 9 at 8:30 p.m. Tickets are $40, $50 and $100 plus fees and can be purchased through the CEPAC website. The Beach Boys' performance is part of the Overture Gala. This fundraiser benefits the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre Foundation, which funds ARTSBRIDGE, the centre’s endowment and education initiative. Lower orchestra seats for this performance have been reserved for Overture Gala patrons.
Next week on Sept. 17, enjoy an evening honoring home grown performers at the Georgia Music Hall of Fame Awards. This year's honorees include Toni Braxton, Mothers Finest, Paul Cochran, Jan Smith, Judy Argo, Hall Johnson and Sonny Terry.
Justin Bieber is also scheduled to perform a tribute to Smith, his vocal coach and musical mentor. Tickets are $48 to $98 plus fees or tune in at home for free as the show will be broadcast live by Georgia Public Broadcasting.
Wednesday, Sept. 28, and Thursday, Sept. 29, Wilco will perform at Cobb Energy with special guest Nick Lowe. The performance begins at 8 p.m. and tickets are $38 plus fees. In an effort to prevent ticket scalping, Wilco enforces a four-ticket per person limit and only allows will-call ticket purchases.
End September with a concert that benefits college and university music programs. KANSAS will perform Friday, Sept. 30 at 8 p.m. with the Kennesaw State University Symphony Orchestra. Tickets are $37 and $57 plus fees. A limited number of student tickets are available for $20 with a valid student ID at the box office. There is a two-ticket limit per student ID.

Weird Al Yankovic kicks off October at CEPAC with his “The Alpocalypse Tour” Saturday, Oct.1 at 8 p.m. Tickets are $27, $37 and $47 plus fees.
Cesar Millan, better known as “The Dog Whisperer,” rounds out the weekend Sunday, Oct. 2 at 8 p.m. with a lesson on how to make his dog behavioral techniques work for your family. Tickets for the event are $45, $55 and $47 plus fees.

If drama is what you’re after, check out David E. Talbert’s dramatic stageplay “What My Husband Doesn’t Know” about a woman who has it all, even an affair with a plumber. The play will be performed Friday, Oct. 7 at 8 p.m.; Saturday, Oct. 8 at 3 p.m. and 8 p.m.; and Sunday, Oct. 9 at 3 p.m. and 8 p.m. Tickets are $35.50 and $40.50 plus fees and can be purchased through Ticketmaster.
Get a taste of Mardi Gras this fall as Dr. John and Cyndi Lauper bring their “From Memphis to Mardi Gras” tour to CEPAC Wednesday, Oct. 12 at 8 p.m. Tickets are $37, $47, $57 and $73.
The Real Housewives of Atlanta wrapped up its third season in February, but if you can’t wait for the start of season four, check out “The Real Housewives Live Tour” Saturday, Oct. 15 at 3 p.m. and 8 p.m. Housewives from various cities including Atlanta’s own NeNe will be on stage to share the shows’ secrets and answer questions from the audience. Tickets are $49.50 or $170 for the Housewives Red Carpet Experience, which includes a cocktail reception hosted by the housewives, a red carpet entrance and premiere seating.
The Atlanta Ballet kicks off its season with performances of “The Four Seasons” Friday, Oct. 21 at 8 p.m.; Saturday, Oct. 22 and 2 p.m. and 8 p.m.; and Sunday, Oct. 23 at 2 p.m. Tickets are available through Ticketmaster.
The U.S. Marine Band will hold a workshop for sixth through 12th grader band students from throughout greater Atlanta Thursday, Oct. 27. The workshop is free and applications can be found online.
Rain, a Tribute to The Beatles closes out October with performances on Friday, Oct 28 at 8 p.m.; Saturday, Oct. 29 and 2 p.m. and 8 p.m.; and Sunday, Oct 30 at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $25 and $60 plus fees.
