Major Counterfeiting Operation Busted In Smyrna: Police

Fake money, movies, ID cards and video games were confiscated and a man from Ohio was arrested, police said.

SMYRNA, GA — Cobb County Police announced Friday that they have busted what they call a major counterfeiting operation, finding fake money, movies, video games and ID cards at a home in Smyrna.

On Thursday, Smyrna and Cobb County police executed a search warrant at 2526 Gordon Circle. Inside, they say, they found counterfeit money, movies, video games, state-issued ID cards and credit cards.

Four large boxes of counterfeit items were collected as evidence and removed from the home.

Samuel Eromosele, 34, of Columbus, Ohio, was arrested at the home. He is charged with possession of tools of a crime, with more charges expected to be filed.

Eromosele was taken to Cobb County Detention Center, where he was booked.
