One Person Dead After Cobb Parkway Carjackings
A woman is in custody after attempting several carjackings and eventually being caught in Atlanta's Virginia Highland community.

MARIETTA, GA -- One person is in custody after several carjackings early Wednesday morning left a pedestrian dead in Marietta.
Police say a woman carjacked a vehicle on Cobb Parkway South near Bells Ferry Road around 6:15 am. She then struck a pedestrian at the intersection, carjacked another vehicle and fled south on Cobb Parkway, reports CBS46 Atlanta.

According to Channel 2 Action News, the woman eventually wrecked her car on Ponce de Leon Avenue in Atlanta, attempted another carjacking, but was apprehended in Atlanta near the Majestic Diner in the Virginia Highlands community.
The woman was taken into custody around 8 am, according to Fox 5 Atlanta.

Police have confirmed the pedestrian was killed, but have not released the victim's name, pending notification of relatives.
