Smyrna Police, Fire Departments Take Ice Bucket Challenge
Several public safety officers, including Police Chief David Lee, accepted the Ice Bucket Challenge on behalf of the ALS Association.

Smyrna Police Chief David Lee accepted the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge alongside several members of the city’s public safety departments on Friday afternoon.
Chief Lee was challenged by Acworth’s Chief of Police Wayne Dennard when the top cop took part in the fund and awareness raising campaign for ALS earlier this week. ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig’s Disease, is a progressive and ultimately fatal degenerative neurological condition.
Each of the Smyrna police officers and firefighters challenged passed on the challenge to their colleagues in their departments, members of other public safety agencies, and members of the Smyrna city government.
