Smyrna Stretch Studio, Kika, Is Back Open
Kika Stretch Studios in Smyrna reopened Saturday after being closed since mid-March.

SMYRNA, GA — Kika Stretch Studios in Smyrna reopened last Saturday. Co-owner Virginia Lazala told Patch that the decision was made based on a few things.
“We see that hospitalizations have gone down,” she said. “People are being respectful around town and are social distancing and wearing masks.”
The business has also invested in masks, gloves, hand sanitizer, wipes and handsfree dispensers for both coaches and clients.

Another change people can expect to see as a safety precaution is that socks and masks be worn during the appointment. A wellness verification form verifying that they are symptom free will also be required.
Aside from that, “the service is the same one-to-one assisted stretching in a private room we have always provided,” Lazala said. “We are lucky that our model was always based on 1:1 in a private room.”
Kika has been closed since March 18.

Last month, as other businesses and restaurants began to reopen, the studio announced that it would remain closed until May 13.
"We will remain closed through May 13, 2020 and will continue to monitor this crisis and take the advice of medical and scientific personnel on when it is safe to, and under what circumstances we can and should reopen,” the owners said.
Kika Stretch Studios - Vinings opened in November at 1675 Cumberland Pkwy. Lazala and her husband and co-owner David Southers moved from New Jersey to open Kika, which is a national franchise started by dancer and actress Hakika DuBose.
