Smyrna-Vinings Schools Hold Open Houses This Week

Now that the students, teachers and staff of the Cobb County School District have settled in for another school year, many schools in the district are opening their doors for parents this week.

Open houses are a great way for parents to get more involved in their kids' education, meet their teachers, and experience what a day in the classroom is like for the student of today.

There are also many programs and online initiatives that parents can sign up for during open house sessions.

The following open houses will be held at Smyrna-Vinings area schools in the next few days:

• Argyle Elementary School: Tuesday, Sept. 10 (6:00 p.m.)
• Norton Park Elementary School: Wednesday, Sept. 11 (no time listed)
• Russell Elementary School: Thursday, Sept. 12 (Session 1: 6:30 p.m., Session 2: 7 p.m.)
• Smyrna Elementary School: Tuesday, Sept. 10 (after PTA and Partnership signings at 6 p.m.)
• Teasley Elementary School, Monday, Sept. 9 (second and fifth grade) and Tueday, Sept. 10 (third and fourth grade), both at 6:30 p.m.
• Teasley Primary School (kindergarten and first grade): Thursday, Sept. 12 (6:30 p.m.)
