Spring Break Fun for Smyrna-Vinings Families
Here's a look at some fun and inexpensive spring break activities.
Spring Break may still be a week away for Cobb County schools, but Smyrna-Vinings Patch has vacation on the brain. There's spring break fun for everyone whether you're going out of town or staying close to home.
The Cobb County Public Library System has teamed up with Zoo Atlanta, Georgia State Parks and Historic Sites and the Go Fish Education Center to offer library patrons fun, outdoor activities at a discount. Go to any Cobb library and check out a DVD about the Atlanta Zoo. When you return it on time, you’ll be given a Zoo Atlanta Family Pass that offers free admission for up to two adults and two children saving a family of four almost $75.
Patrons can also reserve a ParkPass kit for Georgia State Parks and Historic Sites. The kit includes a park pass that allows up to four visitors free entry to more than 60 state parks and historic site locations. It’s recommended that you reserve ParkPass kits well in advance during spring break and vacation season. The library also offers a Go Fish Pass that includes free admission for up to six visitors to the Go Fish Eduaction Center in Perry, Ga. on Fridays and Saturdays. If you’re staying close to home for spring break consider a spring break camp at . The school offers half-day morning and afternoon sessions for $35. The cost of a half-day of camp includes a snack and art supplies. Full-day sessions are $66, but do not include lunch.
